The Mob, a Direct to Consumer portal via Internet and WAP, allows customers the opportunity to personalize their cell phone for a more intimate feel by giving them the opportunity to purchase credits and choose from a vast assortment of realtones, ringtones, games and wallpapers. The Mob is one of several off-deck products that 9 Squared channels its partners' content through, others include RingToneJukeBox.com and the In Crowd.
The mobile media solutions company supports a Direct to Consumer approach of The Mob through advertisements on MTV, MTV2 and BET. Commercials include a call-to-action encouraging customers to text in and "Join The Family". In addition to national television placement, Web banners are advertised on delegated sites that utilize star power by artists and celebrities such as Akon, Diddy and Snoop Dogg.
Verizon Wireless operates America's most reliable wireless network, serving nearly 57 million customers nationwide. The distribution through Verizon for The Mob offers further reach to mobile consumers for 9 Squared.
